I am David Waweru Kamau (Davidvid), an international Dance Instructor and Choreographer with over 20 years of experience in Hip-Hop, Breaking, Afro Dance, Afro House, and Dancehall. I teach dancers of all ages and levels, from beginners to advanced performers, blending technical mastery, creative choreography, and mentorship to develop confidence, stage presence, and expressive movement.
I have performed and taught internationally in Kenya, Switzerland, Thailand, and New Zealand, bringing a global perspective and professional approach to every class, workshop, and performance.
Beyond training, I am dedicated to community outreach, offering free classes and workshops to youth, schools, and children’s homes. Through these programs, I empower dancers with discipline, teamwork, cultural awareness, and personal growth.
My mission is to help dancers learn, perform, and elevate their skills to their highest potential, while sharing the passion and culture of dance worldwide.
My Story
I didn’t grow up with studios, mirrors, or the perfect stage. I started with whatever space I could find, sometimes concrete, sometimes grass, driven only by the music in my head and the dream in my heart. In those early days, dance was my escape, my challenge, and my teacher all at once.
It wasn’t easy. I walked long distances just to practice, pushed through setbacks, and kept showing up even when the odds were against me. Every battle, every performance, every moment of doubt became part of the foundation that shaped me.
What kept me going was the belief that dance could be more than movement; it could open doors, build confidence, and create opportunities not only for me, but for others too. That’s why I began teaching, mentoring, and sharing what I had learned.
Today, my story continues through every dancer I train, every performance I create, and every community I connect with. Dance gave me a voice, and now I use that voice to inspire growth in others.
